Zen Tangle ATC

Morning all!! Just wanted to put up a quick post showing my latest ATC project. My friend Anne introduced our group to an art form called Zen Tangle. If you google it you will find many awesome examples of it, especially if you look in the images section of the search engine. There are also some cool YouTube videos on the subject. Here's my take on it...

I have used my Valentine Squirrel digi from Pink Cat Studio as the focal point of my cards.

I printed the cards out on Neenah paper and then used a fine point Sharpie to do the doodling. I found this pen gave me the best overall coverage and depth of colour.

Here's a picture of all 7 cards put together. I thought it looked kind of cool!! As you can see the cards are not all identical like most times when you do ATC's so that makes each one a one-of-a-kind limited edition ☺. The idea of Zentangle is to doodle in small compartmentalized spaces. There really aren't any rules, or if there are, I don't know about them. Anyway, I had fun doing these up...doodling is very good for the soul!!

Thanks for stopping by today. May you have warm sunshine wherever you are!!!!!

Sundays With Crissy--Challenge #14--Love

Well hello there!! Happy February!! Gotta say, I wasn't sad to see January go and they are saying our region is in for another doozy of a storm. :( The snow that fell during SNOWMAGEDDON (the storm that hit us in December) is still here!! Hey, what's another foot or two...that's winter in Ontario for you!!

Anyway, it's challenge time again at Sundays With Crissy and this month it's all about LOVE!! For my card I used Crissy's digi image from Squigglefly called "Baby Elephant". You can also find this image at Whimsy Stamps in deeply etched rubber under the name "Jelly Bean".

I just love the colours pink, black, & grey together!! It's one of my favourite combos!! I tried the "leave-some-of-the-image-outside-the-Nestability-die" technique for the first time on this card--I know, I know, I am probably the last stamper on the planet to do it...anyway, I decided to leave the little guy's foot outside the circle and then did a second image and popped it up with some foam. I kinda went elephant crazy and put one on the inside just seemed to fit. I really had fun with this challenge and I hope all of you do too!!

The inside of my card...

It would be wonderful if YOU were able to join us this month at Sundays With Crissy. Make your own "LOVE" themed card or project and share it with us!! Just go to my link here at the Sundays With Crissy blog, scroll down to the bottom of the post, click on the little blue frog, and follow the instructions.

There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! For those who choose to use one of Crissy digi images, their names will be entered twice in our draw. Please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.

I look forward to checking out your entries!! Until then, stay warm & have a blessed day!!
