#24--I'M DONNNNEEEEEE!!

Whoo HOOOO!! I did it! 24 cards completed and they are actually a day early--I am not sure how that happened?? Maybe the bags under my eyes have something to do with it!! It's a good feeling though and I really hope whoever purchases them will enjoy them and put them to good use!

Here is the last one--a gate-fold wedding card done in black and white!! Please forgive my pics as the weather here is not that great and I depend on natural light to photograph :(

The Ingredients:

Stamp--Knight & Princess--Elzybells, Stamped on Neenah with Colorbox Black Ink & then heat embossed, Cardstock--Bazzil Papers, DP--Somme--7 Gypsies, Die Cut Mat--Labels 4--Nestabilities

I don't know if you are like me but some of the stamps I own have special significance simply because of where I bought them or who I was with at the time. The stamp I used for this project has special meaning to me as I purchased it on a trip to Vancouver to visit my brother who was undergoing chemotherapy at the time. I went shopping down at Granville Island as a little break from the reality at hand and I found a little shop down there that carried the Elzybells line. So, every time I use this stamp I think of my brother who bravely fought but lost his fight with Leukemia back in Nov '09 and would have been 54 years old this Saturday. Love you bro and miss you very much...

Baby Cards

Well here are 2 more cards for the school fundraiser--ONLY 1 more to do--Whooohooo! I would have liked to have had these done for last week's challenge over at High Hopes which was to use images of things with wings but it just didn't happen--I admit it--procrastination got the better of me :( Anyway, I will try to get myself in gear for the week's challenge which is to use images of things that hop. I don't think storks hop :( at least I have never seen one, so I'll have to choose something a little more bouncy--stay tuned.

Colour Create Challege--Challenge #39

Hello all!! Well as you already know the CANADIANS won the men's GOLD MEDAL hockey game against the USA!! Wow what a nail biter!! I was watching it on the big screen over at my in-laws and nearly had a cardiac arrest when the Americans scored in the last seconds of the game and tied it up. I contemplated going into the cold storage room to wait until the overtime period was over because my blood pressure was soaring. I did watch the final period and Crosby came through for us scoring the gold medal goal!! Wow what a game!! Hats off to Team USA--you guys played amazing through the whole Olympics and your goalie--WOW!!

The funny thing is I don't watch hockey as a rule unless it's maybe the final game for the Stanley cup. I do however LOVE watching international hockey especially when Canada is playing the US or the Russians--then I am front and centre!!

WAY TO GO CANADA!! I was standing at attention with the rest of my family when they played O Canada for the 14th and final time!! (I'm just a little patriotic). It was also cool to see our troops in Kandahar watching along with us!! Hey, I heard you guys beat the Yanks 16-2 in a friendly game of ball hockey--WAY TO GO CANUCKS!!

Now onto my card for the Colour Create Challenge--Red, Black, and Off-White...

What I Used:

  • Stamp--Cat Love--Digital from Mo's Digital Pencil
  • Printed On--Neenah Paper
  • Cardstock--Bazzil & Colormates
  • Sentiment--Impression Obsession--Masterpiece
  • Brads--Doodlebug
  • Ribbon & Metal Plate--My Stash
  • Heart Die Cut--Quickutz

Thanks for coming by to take a look! Have a great day!

Blesssings,

Sarah :)
